I'm looking for a Customer Marketing Manager to join our team to help build and scale the next chapter of Puppet. As the leader in infrastructure automation, Puppet helps the most influential companies in the world solve mission critical, complex problems. Be on the forefront of building and accelerating the next chapter of infrastructure automation innovation and do it with a best in class team. We're looking for someone who is customer centric and has a passion for storytelling, can build strong relationships with both internal stakeholders as well as customers, and is eager to empower Puppet customers to share their stories.


Meaningful work you'll contribute

  • Generate and convert a pipeline of referenceable customers and brand advocates. You'll work with our Sales, Product and Community teams to identify potential advocates open to sharing their expertise through references, third party reviews, industry surveys, case studies, speaking engagements, media interviews and more.
  • Create customer stories that help prospects and customers see the value of Puppet faster. You'll uncover customer practices and outcomes that demonstrate Puppet's unique value proposition, then help make those stories come to life for our marketing programs, sales teams, and partners.
  • Build and maintain our customer evidence repository. You're a skilled organizer and have experience building out and owning a robust library for use by Sales and Marketing including, but not limited to, case studies, slides, quotes, and approvals.
  • Run our global customer advisory and technical advisory programs. You'll work with Product Management and Sales to orchestrate a quarterly cadence of Customer Advisory Board and Technical Advisory Board (CAB/TAB) meetings around the world to facilitate our most critical product and go-to-market feedback loop.
  • Broker customer conversations with Product Marketing and Demand Generation teams to test value hypotheses and messaging
  • Collaborate on our Net Promoter program. You'll work with our Customer Success and Sales teams on our annually occurring customer net promoter program.
  • Partner with product teams and corporate communications to build and leverage relationships with Puppet's analyst and media community, including peer reviews.

  • You are a creative writer and speaker who knows how to appeal to your audiences' heads and hearts about the successes that await them when they partner with your company.
  • A team player - you understand that many colleagues serve each individual account and work together with them to deepen your relationship with our customers.
  • You are scrappy and self-directed - You are skilled at autonomously driving projects in a startup environment with minimal guidance and limited resources while having a ton of freedom and creativity to continue moving forward. You roll up your sleeves and drive execution and results.


Valuable experiences and skills you'll bring to Puppet

  • 3-5 years in marketing role, partner experience desirable
  • Solid writing skills, ability to distill complex technical detail into high level explanations
  • Comfortable creating and delivering presentations to internal and external audiences
  • Marketing or Sales Engineer experience with a software vendor
  • Technical ingenuity, ability to relate market needs with existing functionality in new ways
