Position Summary:


The Medicare Sales/ Community, Broker and Partner Liaison - FCC establishes strong relationships with the community, Brokers, our partners and their designated physician or providers spokespersons and works with both private and public organizations that also have a high focus on serving the Medicare population. This role liaises between those roles, the health plan and enterprise for communication and issue resolution. Encourages and creates new opportunities to work collaboratively with these organizations and others to promote the common goal of serving the community and Medicare population, in addition to promotion of the health plans and affiliated brands, products and services. This role is accountable for building productive relationships within the health plans service area, identifying opportunities for the organization, increasing referrals and market share and advancing our strategic plan. Helps support enrollment of prospects and Medicare beneficiaries. Effectively communicates and educates individuals about products, benefit choices, policies and procedures in addition to the promotion of health plan products. Induces enrollment of Medicare prospects directly and through supporting brokers when needed. Effectively communicates and educates individuals, Brokers and staff about products, benefit choices, policies, and procedures. Performs compliance oversight with contracted brokers to ensure adherence with regulations put forth by the Center for Medicare and Medicaid services (CMS).


Qualifications:


EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Associate's Degree in Related field or Experience in Lieu of Education - Three (3) years of relevant experience

CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE REQUIREMENTS
Insurance Producer NC License within 3 months and Medicare Producer Certification within 3 months and Driver's License upon hire and Proof of Auto Insurance upon hire.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Three years of healthcare, business, marketing, sales, service or community outreach experience is required. preferreder experience working with Medicare beneficiaries and a proven record of exemplary service to customers.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS
Awareness and understanding of the healthcare system. Ability to work in alignment with the vision, goals and leadership direction for the organization. Superb representation and communication skills with varied stakeholders (CEOs, Executive Directors, administrators, physicians, staff and community organizers and decision makers) throughout our service areas. Strong communication, verbal, written and presentation skills geared toward communicating with prospective members and Medicare beneficiaries. This is demonstrated by communicating by e-mail, phone, letter, virtual/webinar and in person in both individual and group settings or through media sources (TV, radio, social media etc.). Strategizing, reasoning and problem solving are needed. Must be able to understand and explain Medicare policies and plans. Exceptional knowledge of health plan service areas and ability to share intelligence and issues we are facing in those service areas. Able to work compassionately with prospects and Medicare beneficiaries on a one-on-one basis and focus on their needs through careful listening and patience. Able to organize, host and speak at events and meetings in small or large group settings. Must be available to attend events in the early morning or late evening and/or weekends. Able to project a positive image and demonstrate tact and diplomacy in interpersonal interactions. Must be able to plan, prioritize and complete multiple tasks at once. Microsoft Office (MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint) and mobile device and internet navigation skills are required. Proven record of exemplary attendance. Ability to take prompt action on problem/issue resolution. Self-motivation to work autonomously to grow business and strategic relationships. Ability to analyze data and create action plans; territory management skills.


Essential Functions:

  • Establishes and maintains relationships within the community. Work with agencies and community contacts focused on serving the community and Medicare beneficiaries within designated service areas. Fosters community and partner relationships through facilitation of productive, collaborative, and value added relationships between those contacts and our health plan business.
  • Demonstrates business expertise to the organization by maintaining detailed knowledge of community resources, regional facilities, administrators, community and partner relationships; contributes to market assessments of the services areas; communicates competitive intelligence, threats and prospects to capitalize on opportunities internally and externally to leadership.
  • Serves as liaison between the health plan (and its supported brands) and community leaders or organizations serving the community.
  • Promotes health plan products in compliance with Centers for Medicare &; Medicaid Services marketing guidelines. This is in person as well as by webinar, media (TV, radio, social media live etc.)
  • Evaluates and recommends sponsorship opportunities. Plans, coordinates, hosts and/or speaks at community events presentations, expos and health fairs, sponsored by or supported the health plan. Participates in identification of promotional materials and specialty items for distribution.
  • This position supports the community while also promoting brand presence and product relationships for the health plan brands. Participates in the development, execution and monitoring of outreach plans that result in increased referrals to the health plans.
  • Performs administrative tasks such as maintaining records and preparing reports on monthly activity.
  • Participates in development of marketing strategies to compete with other individuals or companies who sell insurance products.
  • Support sales seminar needs for both in person and webinar as applicable. Pursues leads generated by internal marketing efforts and seeks out new prospects through networking. Screens prospects for plan eligibility and ensures application requirements are fulfilled.
  • Ensure professional and ethical quality of sales, enrollment and member support through prompt and courteous issue response and resolution.
  • In compliance with both the Division of Insurance and Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services sales and marketing regulations, markets products in designated sales territory working to meet or exceed annual goals.
  • Serves as an interface for brokers and broker staff providing education on features, advantages and limitations of products, eligibility and health plan policies and procedures in order to promote sales. Recommends and initiates new broker contracts or contract terminations when applicable.
  • Performs Compliance monitoring and oversight to ensure contracted brokers and broker staff are adhering to marketing regulations established by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services and policies established by the health plan.
  • Participate in partner strategy and marketing meetings and internal service line meetings that sometimes involve sensitive and/or confidential information.
