About The Opportunity

We are creating a new Innovation Accelerator program to identify trends and incubate product and partnership ideas that will dramatically improve the lives of data practitioners in enterprises large and small.

As a Sr. Innovation Accelerator Developer Advocate, you will help the Accelerator identify emerging technology trends, develop and evaluate proposals to invest in new ideas, drive customer conversations with our early adopters and design partners and work closely with Product Management to shape the roadmap for our projects. You will provide thought leadership and enablement through articles, blogs and community engagement.

If you are a hands-on technologist who is equally comfortable writing code and teaching others about how that code works, gets excited about engaging with open source communities and developing new product ideas, and writes technical content that makes people want to read, then you will love this role.

You will...

• Scout cutting edge data solutions that are gaining market traction.

• Build proof of concept solutions and evaluate the technical feasibility and market potential of those solutions.

• Participate in customer development. Qualify and quantify the value of solutions by collaborating with customers, prospects, partners, and the product and engineering teams.

• Collaborate externally with stakeholders behind external solutions, either through companies or by directly working with community members

• Write technical blogs, give talks, webinars, and produce other content targeted towards customers, prospects, and the broader data community.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of programming experience in languages like Java, Python, Scala.

• You have demonstrated problem solving and analytical skills.

• Experience writing technical documentation, technical blogs, product documentation

• Proven track record of engaging in, and building awareness within online communities of tools or services

• Ability to quickly review, comprehend, clarify, and relay detailed technical information

• You have some knowledge of differentiators across the competitive landscape in data and analytics solutions

• You care about your colleagues, and you will get the job done together. You are passionate about what you do and inspire people around you

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in a Technical Field

Bonus skills

• Experience with social media and community evangelism

• Experience working with customers to build solutions to technical problems

• Experience with, and interest in, open-source software and development practices
