Job Description:

The work location for this exciting opportunity is virtual. The selected candidate will work 100% remotely from home and can be located anywhere in the United States.

Position Summary:
The American Red Cross seeks an experienced and creative Data Curator to join our team and serve as a liaison between the business unit, Information Technology and/or vendor(s) to ensure that technology designs meet the needs of end users within the assigned business unit.

Responsibilities:
1: Analyze business and user needs to develop documentation of requirements and translate these into proper system requirement specifications.
2: Serve as a liaison between the business unit, the Information Technology Department and/or vendor(s). Provide user support relating to the utilization of the business application in day-to-day operations. Facilitate user training as required.
3: Ensure applications are optimized to support business objectives and processes. Participate in efforts related to implementations, releases and systems modifications.
4: Import and export data. Ensure high data integrity is maintained and reported. Analyze and validate data. Design and prepare customized reports, document report specifications and ensure standard reporting procedures are aligned with business reporting requirements.
5: Execute business application-related processes and transactions.
6: Develop and execute test procedures and cases.
7: Assist in the development of performance metrics and project reports.

Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree required.
Experience: Minimum 2 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and related experience required.
Management Experience: N/A
Skills & Abilities: Effective verbal and written communication skills. Ability to apply technical expertise to resolve problems. Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks efficiently. Ability to work on a team. Ability to be 24-hour on-call during period of major disaster.

Travel: Travel may be required.

* Combination of candidate's education and general experience satisfies requirements so long as the total years equate to description's minimum education and general experience years combined (Management experience cannot be substituted).

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. The work environment will consist of moderate noise (i.e. business office with computers, phones and printers, light traffic). The employee must have the ability to work in a small cubicle and have the ability to sit at a computer terminal for an extended period of time.
