Job Description:

The work location for this exciting opportunity is virtual with a preference for candidates to be in the Eastern or Central time zones. Operational flexibility to meet sudden and unpredictable business needs, willingness to work outside standard established business hours, and a minimal amount (5-10%) of business travel are required.

Position Summary:
The Consumer Fundraising team builds the foundation for optimal long-term donor value by developing strategies and programs that increase individual donor engagement, financial revenue, and fundraising capacity for the American Red Cross. The team focuses on marketing to individual donors via direct response and digital channels to engage constituents and to raise revenue to support the mission of the American Red Cross.

The Sr. Director of Product Management is responsible for leading the digital fundraising strategy and execution on behalf of the American Red Cross. The Sr. Dir. will work cross-functionally to drive innovation and revenue, utilizing the latest market technologies, leveraging intelligent applications to solve business problems, improving the digital donor experience, maximizing ROI, and fostering value from internal and external data assets. The Sr. Dir. leads an engaged and high-performing team of full-time skilled product owners and contractors, as well as IT developers, digital volunteers, and vendor partners. The Sr. Dir. has a high level of autonomy to lead the product roadmap for systems integration; be accountable for the interfaces needed between systems; own the cross-functional prioritization alignment process; and serve as the IT liaison for delivery and governance. Reporting to the VP, Consumer Fundraising, the Sr. Director and their team defines, develops, and executes on key digital fundraising strategies and initiatives worth $100M+ in annual revenue for the organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsibility, and accountability for defining and developing the digital fundraising vision for the Red Cross.
  • Coordinate with key stakeholders and leaders on product prioritization, scope, timing, and budget for fundraising initiatives.
  • Drive market research, user research, data analysis, and user testing; utilize feedback and competitive data to direct product strategy.
  • Lead the identification, exploration, and implementation of new payment technologies for innovation, by staying up to date on market trends in the fundraising space.
  • Lead high-performing team of product owners skilled in the Adobe Experience Cloud, as well as contractors, digital volunteers, and vendor partners.
  • Identify advances in digital marketing automation platforms (Adobe & Salesforce) and own the vision for multi-year digital investments in support of fundraising revenue growth, enhanced donor experience, and efficiency gains.
  • Engage with stakeholders to deliver roadmap updates, identify additional challenges/opportunities, and provide expertise to partners to translate complex business needs into product solutions that interact and integrate across the Red Cross ecosystem to maximize revenue results.
  • Develop detailed, succinct business requirements and user stories that can be used to create product specifications and architecture for each product and application.
  • Work with internal teams (Compliance, Finance, Treasury, Fraud, Procurement, IT, Operations) and external teams (vendors, suppliers) to build breakthrough solutions.
  • Create opportunities to partner cross-functionally with other lines of service to ensure shared learnings, a cohesive digital One Red Cross (ORC) user experience, and profitable investments.
  • Qualified candidates must be authorized to work in the United States. The American Red Cross does not sponsor employment visas.

    Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing Sciences, Business Administration, Computer Science, or related field required.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in Digital Mktg. and minimum 5-7 years product management experience.
  • Minimum of 7 years of multi-level supervisory experience.
  • Passion for agile development, content strategies, and conversion flow optimization.
  • Expertise in Adobe Experience Cloud components and interoperability to drive personalized user experiences.
  • Significant experience establishing and developing strong working relationships with all levels of the organization.
  • Strong research, analytical and quantitative skills.
  • Strong demonstrated ability to think strategically - and implement a tactical plan; ability to plan for the long term and deliver value in the short term.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a dynamic environment and act quickly and decisively.
  • Excellent written & oral communication skills, & strong interpersonal & presentation skills.
  • Technical knowledge depth necessary to propose and influence new product and feature ideas; proven ability to align business requirements with product and engineering execution

    For those candidates located in Colorado or Connecticut, the annual salary range for this position is: $185K+. We do not offer an annual bonus for this role. Note that the American Red Cross sets salary ranges aligned to a specific geographic location in which the job or employee resides.
