TheOperations Analyst will partner closely with other team members within the Transfer Agent Services team and external service providers to oversee day-to-day operational aspects of the transfer agent and to manage and coordinate projects and initiatives for Allspring Global Investments. This role will work closely with the transfer agent and the record-keeping system service provider to oversee service delivery, manage initiatives, and periodic deliverables impacting the shareholder record-keeping system and peripheral systems. The Operations Analyst will act as a liaison between various internal business partners and the transfer agent to ensure a successful client experience and completion of requests. Internal business partners include Legal, Compliance, Sales, and Fund Administration. This individual must have a passion for excellence, and the delivery of a superior client experience both internal and external. RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Independently perform daily assessment of escalated and exception scenarios.
- Most routine items are performed by our external service provider because of our outsourced business model.
- Team member is empowered to make decisions to resolve a wide range of items relating to policies, procedures, varying account type requirements and intermediary partners.
- In resolving items, based on assessment of the situation and whether further escalation is required, team member may present findings to appropriate management and influence the outcome of the situation.
- Team member balances financial and reputational risk with the client expectation finding an amenable solution to all parties.
- Team members have developed strong relationships with business partners as they explain the rationale behind recommendations.
- Team member ensures all items are appropriately documented to memorialize the action taken and create an audit trail.
- Assist with initiatives impacting the shareholder record-keeping and peripheral systems including Product launches, closings, and liquidations, Fund mergers, acquisitions and data conversion, Periodic transfer agent system events and managed processes, Coordination, and oversight of shareholder servicing for the Lux Transfer Agent.
- Serve as a liaison and escalation point with the transfer agent for Allspring Global Investments
- Oversee preparation of reports for the Fund Board of Directors as required.
The successful candidate will have a strong ability to:
- Build strong business partnerships, including but not limited to product, distribution, legal, risk, compliance, data, and technology.
- Adhere to policies and procedures to comply with all relevant regulatory requirements and compliance procedures.
- Collaborate with senior leaders and business partners to address process, workflow, audit, and regulatory issues.
- Support, promote and encourage the operations strategic plan.
- Anticipate and provide solutions to complex business and operations challenges.
- Participate in multiple initiatives to review and evaluate policies, procedures, and workflow.
- Work in conjunction with management to implement change and improvements.
- Participate in the review of end-to-end business processes to determine where we can simplify and create more efficiencies.
- Foster a continuous improvement program to ensure processes and procedures remain current and appropriate.
- Represent transfer agent services as it relates to audit request, remediation plans and improvement initiatives.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- 5+ years of operations analysis experience.
