Events and Promotions Coordinator

Colorado Public Radio (CPR) is seeking an Events and Promotions Coordinator.

About the Position:

The Events and Promotions Coordinator facilitates and assesses CPR promotions and events to ensure employee understanding, guest and sponsor satisfaction, budget alignment and profitability. You coordinate all details of promotions and events including concept, theme, staffing, timeline and needs from external vendors. You collaborate with cross-functional teams to create and gather necessary internal resources, such as advertising, people and information technology. You develop and distribute internal communications regarding upcoming promotions and events, monitor daily spending to ensure total costs are within the established budget, and maintain an inventory of displays and equipment needed. You may assist with vendor contract negotiations and may prepare reports, presentations or other materials.

You are an organized, detail-oriented event planner who has excellent decision making skills under pressure. You are an excellent communicator with strong delegations skills. You have great time management abilities, networking skills and enjoy collaborating with others to ensure a smooth and successful event. 

Minimum Qualifications:

• At least 2 years' experience as an event coordinator.
• Well-organized with excellent multi-tasking abilities.
• Strong attention to detail and great time management skills.
• Strong verbal and written communicator. 
• Excellent interpersonal skills and a collaborative nature. 
• Must be able to efficiently use office productivity software.
• Ability to stay calm, think clearly, act strategically, and prioritize tasks.
• Must be punctual and reliable in adhering to a set work schedule.
• Ability to occasionally lift up to 25 pounds

Education Equivalency

• Associate's degree or a combination of equivalent education and experience.

Hiring Range: $24.30 - $30.30

Starting Pay: based on education and experience.
