Job Summary
The Baby Brain Lab at UT Dallas (PI Meghan Swanson: ) is looking for a motivated full-time research assistant to join our team in July/August 2022. The research assistant will be working on two NIH-funded longitudinal studies of caregiver speech and infant brain development.

This would be an excellent position for someone looking for research experience in early brain and behavior development before applying to graduate school.
Minimum Education and Experience

Bachelor's degree in one of the basic sciences or an equivalent combination of education and experience in customer service or in daily interactions in a public services environment.

Preferred Education and Experience
A BA or equivalent is required and previous experience working with young children is preferred. Bachelor's degree in psychology or related field. Prior research experience in a child development lab. Experience working with young children.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The research assistant's duties include participant recruitment, testing infants in the lab, attending infant sleep scans sessions at the UTD Center for Brain Health, data management and database maintenance, supervision of student research assistants, and administrative responsibilities. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is required. The ideal candidate will have the ability and desire to learn new programs. They will also be detail-oriented and have the ability to prioritize information in a timely manner. The candidate should love working with kids and families, and be a strong communicator in verbal and written situations.
