Responsibilities

The Hardware in the Loop Simulation & Visualization Group is responsible for designing and developing dynamic simulations and infrastructure for rapid assessment, integration, and test of complex systems. Simulation applications range from behavioral simulations that evaluate system concepts within SysML models to high-fidelity real time simulations and Hardware-in-the-Loop infrastructure to support development, integration, test, and sustainment of systems and software.

We are seeking an Engineer with skills applicable to developing software models in MATLAB and Simulink and executing real time simulations in a Linux environment. A key responsibility for this position involves taking Simulink models and following a structured process to generate source code that will target a real time simulation environment. Previous experience following a requirements based Systems Engineering process is required. This position will be part of a fast paced team environment with an opportunity to work on a range of defense projects critical for our nation.



Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

    Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Computer Science and 8+ years of experience, Master's Degree preferred.
  • Significant experience with MATLAB and Simulink model development
  • High Proficiency with C Programming in Linux Environment
  • Linux scripting with Bash and/or Python
  • Ability to work and succeed within a process-oriented team
  • Great verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to write clear Requirements Documents, Test Plans and Test Reports

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Understanding of Simulink code patterns and the process of C code generation from Simulink
  • Knowledge and familiarity with aerospace systems and related sciences
  • Object oriented programming with C++ or similar language
  • Data analysis and visualization
