Aon is looking for a Senior Accountant - Financial Instruments & Benefits As part of an industry-leading team, you will help empower results for our clients by delivering innovative and effective solutions. The Senior Accountant of Financial Instruments and Benefits Accounting, a part of Corporate Controllership, is primarily responsible for ensuring timely and accurate reporting of Aon's corporate ledgers with a focus on global foreign currency (FX) risk, derivatives, and pensions. This includes key close responsibilities, such as month end activities, independent project management, preparation of external reporting footnotes, and forecast/budget analysis. The role focuses on process improvements along with ad hoc projects. Responsibilities Monitor Aon's global pension plans and help in accounting for Aon's largest plans through close focused tasks, Sarbanes-Oxley controls, preparation of external reporting footnotes, and review of account reconciliations Assist with derivatives accounting for Aon's international hedge programs through close focused tasks, Sarbanes-Oxley controls, and preparation of external reporting footnotes. Monitor Aon's global foreign currency (FX) exposures including operating cash balances, intercompany balances, and other balance sheet items and collaborate with global contacts to mitigate these FX exposures. Facilitate management reporting to Treasury, Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), and senior management relating to Pensions, FX, and Derivatives Assist countries and other stakeholders with technical questions relating to Pensions, FX, and Derivatives Train and provide developmental opportunities for rotational program colleagues Collaborate with our Finance Centers to drive efficiency and improve financial reporting Assist with ad hoc special projects as needed Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance 2+years of experience in an accounting/finance related role Strong analytical and organizational skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills; English proficiency Knowledge of accounting and reporting systems, Workday, and TM1 preferred We offer you A competitive total rewards package, continuing education & training, and tremendous potential with a growing worldwide organization.
