Position Summary The HR business partner (HRBP) position is responsible for aligning business objectives with employees and management in designated business units. The position serves as a consultant to management on human resource-related issues. The successful HRBP acts as an employee champion and change agent. Position Description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Serve as the Retail Stores intermediate contact on HR policies, processes and employee relations issues
  • Ensure that the HR strategy is supported throughout the organization
  • Attend regular meetings with the respective business units
  • Help attract, hire and retain great store talent! Provide guidance to business unit leaders and Team Members on all HR matters
  • Assist managers with coaching associates on performance expectations, attendance and store goals.
  • Monitor and enforce compliance requirements
  • Foster company culture to ensure great work environment, drive employee recognition and assist in organizational training and career development and growth
  • Work closely with management and Team Members to improve work relationships, build morale and increase retention
  • Assist Team Members with HR related matters
  • Provide guidance and input on business related topics including workforce planning and succession planning
  • Assist business units in Managing change as it relates to HR related processes and services
  • Able to travel up to 25%
Qualifications

Education/Experience: Bachelor's degree (B. A. or B. S.) or equivalent from four-year college in Human Resources or related field. 5+ years of experience in retail HR Management. Retail multi-unit experience preferred. Knowledge of state and federal laws including leave of absence programs. Bilingual Spanish is a plus. Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.

Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual must have experience in Microsoft Office programs including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.HRIS experience is preferred.
