Overall Purpose:

Duquesne Light Company is seeking a Process Engineer / Senior Business Systems Analyst with experience in supporting and improving Procure-to-Pay business processes utilizing IBM Maximo Work Management, Materials/Inventory Management, Supply Chain Management (or similar supply chain management ERP) and Oracle Accounts Payable. This role collaborates across IT and Business stakeholders to define and validate complex business solutions, develop application requirements, optimize business process workflow, provide support, develops and drives continuous improvement.

Job Responsibilities:



  • Conducts interviews and workshops to define "as is" as "to be" business process diagrams. Facilitate optimization and define any gaps.
  • Work with business partners to elicit user stories or requirements and capture business needs.
  • Create, analyze, and validate detailed requirements and process documentation in support of the System Development Life Cycle framework.
  • Proficiency is defining process improvements and translating requirements into technical configuration.
  • Document intended product behavior and user experience in sufficient detail for downstream activities.
  • Obtain key inputs from Enterprise Architecture, Product Owners/Managers, Business and Technical Analysts, Cybersecurity teams to identify technical requirements and interdependencies.
  • Work with technology/service providers and monitor performance against SLAs.
  • Work closely with development resources on implementation issues.
  • Review QA test plans to align with acceptance criteria.
  • Review relevant documentation for technical accuracy.
  • Manage ongoing relationships with business partners to drive satisfaction with IT.
  • Provide timely status updates. Monitor and identify impediments to release objectives and suggest corrective actions.
  • Facilitate creative problem-solving sessions.
  • Create current state and future state process maps. Apply lean principles and continuous process improvements.

Education/Experience Requirements:



  • Roles at this level typically require a university / college degree and 3+ years of relevant experience preferred.


  • Professional or academic experience in Use Case Development, Requirements Management - elicitation, analysis, documentation, and traceability.
  • Demonstrated excellence in communicative, analytical, and problem-solving skills in a technical project delivery or academic setting.
  • Familiarity with Agile delivery framework and Cloud foundations certification is a plus.
  • Certification of Competency in Business Analysis (CCBA) or Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) a significant asset.
  • Expertise with Microsoft Office including Visio or similar tools. Experience with Azure DevOps backlog management a plus. Experience with Power BI, Power Apps a plus.
  • Certification of Competency in Lean Six Sigma, Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe), Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or Professional Scrum Master (PSM) is a significant asset.



Scope:

Primary focus is on daily deliverables, outputs, and reporting. Accountable for managing one's own time and workflow. Responsibilities are generally tactical in nature and work is typically of moderate complexity requiring the incumbent to draw on previous knowledge to perform role. Continues to build knowledge base and develop capabilities by partnering with more experienced staff as needed.

Decision Impact: Problems and issues faced are vague but may be recognizable based on past experience. Accountable for some direct level of reasoning and decision making.
