The Environment and Supply Chain Innovation (ESCI) group at Apple is seeking a Manager within the Environmental Metrics and Analytics team. The team develops detailed environmental models and analyses to drive strategic and relevant environmental initiatives at the product and corporate level. The ideal candidate has experiencing managing personnel, especially technical teams with cross-functional visibility across engineering and operations.

Description
As a manager within the Metrics and Analytics team, you will help to optimize workflows to enable efficiency at scale. Working with subject matter experts in environmental modeling and carbon impact analyses, you will identify new ways of compiling data with increased autonomy and validity, and communicating the work to a non-expert audience using data visualization tools. This role requires a solid background in product operations and experience managing budgets with corporate procurement, including development of RFPs and SOWs for managing contract vendor services. Focus and simplify: Work with team members to characterize internal customer requests for support, prioritize what matters, and develop solutions which enable requests to be met. Approach problems flexibly: Simplify workflows to ensure service levels are being met, creatively and efficiently. Quality at Scale: Identify and facilitate increased utilization of systems (databases, tools, internal resources) and services (outside vendors) which enable team workflows to optimize at scale while maintaining rigorous quality standards.
Education & Experience
BA/BS required
Additional Requirements
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Familiarity with life cycle assessment, environmental modeling preferred
  • General knowledge of climate change trends and sustainability concepts
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally (10% time)
