PCU is a 36-bed Intermediate Care, Telemetry unit. The goal of the unit is to provide high quality care delivered by skilled clinicians knowledgeable in the care of the cardiac patient. Each patient receives treatment and excellent care by registered nurses certified in Advanced Cardiac Life Support. The focus of care in this unit varies, including patients with acute pulmonary, medical, surgical and cardiac conditions. Maintaining expertise and quality care in this diverse population of patients is the mission of the Progressive Care Unit. Our team consists of professionals from varied disciplines who add support whenever needed in the area of nutrition, pharmacy, respiratory therapy, rehabilitation and care coordination. We are searching for a Registered Nurse in a Progressive Care Unit (Intermediate Care, Telemetry unit) to perform a variety of duties involving coordinating total nursing care for patients, participating in patient and family teaching and providing leadership by working cooperatively with ancillary nursing and other patient team personnel in maintaining standards for professional nursing practice within an assigned patient care unit. Has knowledge and skills necessary to provide care, which is appropriate to the age group of patients regularly served.
