Title: Enterprise Program Manager
JOB DESCRIPTION The mission of the Enterprise Program Manager is to support the initiation, execution & closure of strategic, cross-functional projects at Cloudera with a focus on supporting Cloudera's Government Services team. The Program Manager will be required to oversee multiple projects simultaneously and seek to ensure these initiatives are delivered to scope, on time and within budget. This role requires collaboration with leadership, line of business subject matter experts, and technical teams. Therefore, candidates must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, exemplary attention to detail, and ability to engage and influence stakeholders regardless of title or department. Candidates must have a proven track record of successfully managing large, complex process re-engineering and technology implementation projects with global, cross-functional teams and budgets in excess of of $1M. Experience managing projects either directly supporting US Federal government programs or products and services sold to US Federal agencies is highly desirable. RESPONSIBILITIES Project Initiation * Ensure that projects have been properly assessed and approved by Leadership and Program Review Board * Review approved budget and ensure cost monitoring and control measures are in place to support financial reporting. * Determine and obtain commitment from the appropriate steering committee members, key stakeholders and subject matter experts that will be required to deliver a successful project * Identify and track risks, issues, decisions, and mitigation strategies * Establish a clear project charter, RACI and communication plan * Prepare for and initiate project kick-off * Create and distribute project plan Project Execution * Actively manage project plans and ensure assigned tasks are completed according to schedule or update according to changing conditions * Integrate business and technical team sprint plans into the broader project plan/timeline * Motivate functional teams to complete their deliverables in a timely manner to meet overall timelines set forth * Collaborate with functional stakeholders to ensure project impacts are understood clearly and managed appropriately * Report project status concisely and clearly to project stakeholders and steering committee * Provide appropriate levels of communication to project team members to ensure continuous alignment * Establish and moderate regular project team meetings to provide status updates and resolve issues * Escalate issues that may impact deliverables, scope, budget or schedule appropriately to the steering committee * Highlight options to project team & steering committee when scope, budget or schedule has been impacted and help guide to the most favorable decision * Keep track of budget spend and work with Finance on accrual projections * Be a champion for project standards established by the Enterprise PMO Project Closure * Ensure critical path items have been completed, risks have been mitigated, and project team has clarity on remaining tasks to complete a project * Identify non-critical tasks that will not be completed in time and establish the go-forward plan to address them * Gather data to effectively analyze all relevant project performance metrics at the end of project * Moderate post-mortem meeting to openly discuss what went well and areas for improvement * Conduct post-project satisfaction surveys * Present project performance report to steering committee PMO Support * Incorporate all project feedback into PMO continuous improvement plan * Create or improve project documentation templates and publish changes to toolkit/knowledge base REQUIREMENTS Minimum Qualifications * B.S. or B.A. degree in Business Administration, Management, Project Management, Computer Science, Engineering or related field (M.A. or M.S. preferred) * Minimum of ten years of experience in an internal project management, professional services, or management consulting role * Demonstrated ability to drive large-scale projects with global, cross-functional teams and budgets in excess of $1M * Ability to work effectively in a professional manner with technology staff, business stakeholders, end users, management and others both inside and outside of the organization * Confidence engaging with Executive Staff & senior management * Experience in working with cross-functional project teams to deliver solutions * Experience with waterfall and agile project management practices * Ability to adjust and set priorities to meet deadlines * Expertise with project management software * Proficiency with G-Suite and/or Microsoft Office products * Strong written and verbal communication skills, including presentation skills * Strong persuasion and negotiation skills, including conflict resolution skills * Strong customer service orientation * Willingness and ability to travel to regional office locations (up to 4x/year) Preferred or Desired Qualifications * Experience managing projects related to FedRAMP authorization, FISMA certification, or other US Federal standards compliance programs * Project Management certification (e.g. PMP, PMI-ACP, CAPM, CSM, SAFe Agilist, CompTIA Project+, PRINCE2, BVOP) * Fundamental understanding of enterprise data management and machine learning/deep learning concepts and trends from a business perspective * Experience with Tableau or other business intelligence/data visualization platforms * Data analysis proficiency * Broad exposure to, and working knowledge of, a wide range of enterprise SaaS platforms, data management and integration technologies and other business software solutions
