Job Responsibilities Viasat is looking for a Software Engineer to join our growing team. As a Software Engineer you will have the opportunity to develop code for embedded systems (microcontroller), tools for data analysis, or test systems using a variety of languages including but not limited to C, C#, Python, assembly, and Labview. You will interface with interdisciplinary teams including systems engineering, RF, digital/PL, mechanical, test, supply chain, configuration management, and information assurance. You will be involved in all phases of the development lifecycle: evaluation of requirements, trade studies, design, coding, unit test, integration, and maintenance. You will have the autonomy to complete your tasks but also have access to highly experienced engineers and subject matter experts to help you succeed. Requirements: Bachelor's degree Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering and/or a related field US Citizen Up to 10% travel Preferences: Master's degree in Engineering or Computer Science1+years of SW engineering experience Experience with software development methodologies Experience with embedded software development Experience with Object-Oriented Programming Experience with Agile development and Scrum framework Experience with Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) practices Experience with RF technologies such as amplifiers and radar Experience with oscilloscopes, signal-generators, and spectrum analyzers Experience with languages such as C, C++, C#, Python, Java, GNU LD, Bash Experience with communications peripherals such as UART, SPI, I2C Experience with real-time applications and asynchronous event handling Experience with databases To learn more about this site and other office locations, please click ! For Colorado-based jobs only: The minimum for this position is $88,950 annually; however, base pay may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
