HX5 is currently seeking a Senior Model Based Systems Engineer to join our EBZC - Rapid Prototype Branch at Eglin AFB, Florida.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:



  • Provide engineering technical support on major acquisition programs to conduct, analyze, and make recommendations based on engineering performance, effectiveness, cost analysis, producibility, and risk
  • Work in an inter-disciplinary team environment
  • Maintain Model Based System Engineer (MBSE) system models in a digital ecosystem environment


    Education and Experience:



    • Engineering degree from ABET accredited college
    • Master's degree with fifteen (15) years of professional experience; or
    • Ph.D. with five (5) years of professional experience
    • Systems Engineering, Cameo Modeling, Weapon Open System Architecture (WOSA) understanding, Modularity as applied to weapons


    Preferences:

    Experience in any of the following:



    • Systems engineering
    • Open Architecture knowledge
    • Acquisition strategies and policies
    • Experience translating warfighter requirements into engineering objectives, test and analysis understanding


    Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:



    • This is a full-time position requiring 40 hours per week and offers a flexible work schedule Monday through Friday during core business hours.


    Other Position Requirements:



    • Proof of U.S. Citizenship is a requirement for this position.
    • Must be able to complete a U.S. government background investigation.
    • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret clearance prior date of hire.
    • Must be able to travel as necessary.
