HX5 is currently seeking a Software Engineer to join our team in Dayton, Ohio at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in support of the Mobility and Training Aircraft Program Office and will demonstrate an understanding of DoD acquisition processes.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Demonstrate knowledge of software engineering in support of the design, development, testing and evaluation, implementation, maintenance, and administration of new and/or existing software systems.
- Apply an understanding of systems acquisition, systems and subsystems level hardware and software integration, systems requirements analysis and allocation, computer systems architecture, and systems and subsystems testing and evaluation.
- Apply extensive knowledge in software assurance practices and tools to include architecture and design analysis tools, origin analyzers, source code weakness analyzers and binary analyzers.
- Support the development of the software development strategy and Software Development Plan (SDP).
Education and Experience
- Must have one of the following combinations of education and experience.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering from an ABET-accredited school and fifteen (15) years of related experience.
- Master's degree in engineering from an ABET-accredited school and twelve (12) years of related experience.
- Five (5) years of experience on specialty task areas of systems, flight systems, avionics, software or test for the DoD.
- Must be a US Citizen and successfully complete a U.S. government background investigation.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance by start date.
- Must be willing to travel up to 15% of the time. (This may include air travel)
