Job Description
One team. Global challenges. Infinite opportunities. At Viasat, we're on a mission to deliver connections with the capacity to change the world. For more than 35 years, Viasat has helped shape how consumers, businesses, governments and militaries around the globe communicate. We're looking for people who think big, act fearlessly, and create an inclusive environment that drives positive impact to join our team.
Job Responsibilities

Viasat is focused on building an exceptional company around exceptional people who are empowered to do what they are passionate about. We are solving the world's toughest communications problems. Whether it is mission-critical communications, networking, access to real-time ISR, or cutting-edge cybersecurity Viasat brings together the leadership, technology, business agility, and innovative culture required to solve for the impossible. We think big, we work smart, and we are never done. In the role of Strategic Air Force Initiatives, you will help to develop and execute a vision to take Viasat to a higher level of impact and influence with our U.S. Air Force customers.

You are seasoned Defense executive with an entrepreneurial spirit who enjoys charting new directions, driving needle-moving results, and doing things that have never been done before. To quickly engage and leverage ViaSat's portfolio, you will use your established relationships within the Air Force and other end-user and acquisition communities to directly collaborate with both existing Viasat customers and to expand and establish a new and diverse customer base over time. You will have a strong interest in pursuing business growth; including understanding and contributing to business area strategies and developing a deep understanding of how to combine Viasat technologies and capabilities to address customer problems. You will use these skills to help define product roadmaps, evaluate and establish business partnerships, win new business, and help drive other aspects of operating an innovative, results-driven business. You have a proven track record of developing and implementing strategic plans and building enduring relationships.

As the Director of USAF Special Programs, you will lead our efforts to drive long-term customer value by engaging with the USAF as an advocate on their behalf. You will be responsible for ensuring the organization has a deep understanding of customer needs, behaviors, and outcomes that directs how we engage customers in the optimal way at various touchpoints across the entire relationship to drive business outcomes. You will manage all customer relationships in support of Wright-Patterson AFB and will also serve as a strategic partner in the development of our Customer Relationship, Strategy, Acquisition and Engagement teams.
