Job Summary |
The IT Services Department in the Harbert College of Business at Auburn University is searching for an Endpoint Support Analyst to lead its IT Service Desk.
Under minimal position, the person in this position is responsible for providing close oversight of the Service Desk to ensure that work is accomplished in a timely and accurate manner. Additionally, this position handles more complex issues that are beyond the knowledge and skill level of Tier 1 technicians. |
Essential Functions |
The essential functions of this position will include, but not be limited to, the following:
- Lead a team of student technicians to ensure timely and complete resolutions of service requests.
- Mentor the team to continually grow technical capabilities and maintain high customer satisfaction scores while succeeding academically and personally.
- Determine and maintain necessary student staffing levels and schedules to ensure sufficient coverage of the Service Desk.
- Manage inventory and assets of the IT Services Department by budgeting, maintaining necessary stock, and performing audits.
- Perform IT tasks requiring advanced skillsets.
- Define success metrics for the Service Desk and demonstrate to leadership that service level expectations are being met.
- Understand the college's strategic and operational goals and lead the Service Desk in a manner that helps the college meet those goals.

- A Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in Information Technology or related field. Experience in a higher education environment.
- Advanced knowledge of installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of supporting desktop computer hardware, software, and peripherals, preferably in a higher education environment.
- Basic knowledge of
TCP/IP networks, Active Directory, and intermediate knowledge of A/V equipment and principles. |
