HX5 is currently seeking an Accounting Clerk to join our Accounting Department at the Corporate office in Fort Walton Beach, Florida.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The duties in this position include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Review transactions, such as invoices for payment, substantiating completeness and proper account classification.
- Verify and post details of business transactions, such as funds received and disbursed, and totals accounts to ledgers or computer spreadsheets and databases.
- Audit contracts, orders, and vouchers and prepares reports to substantiate individual transactions prior to settlement.
- Reconcile general ledger accounts with various registers.
- Extract general ledger information.
- Code data for input to financial data processing system according to company procedures.
- Maintain employee travel credit card accounts, reconciling with expense reports and master account invoicing.
- Assist with employee travel expense vouchers against JTR and contract requirements.

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience
- 1-3 years of Accounts Payable experience with at least 6 months of government contract accounting.
- Must be able to demonstrate discretion, professionalism, and confidentiality.
- High attention to detail is required.
- Proficiency in MS Excel is required.
Computer Skills
- Experience using Deltek/Costpoint is a plus.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
- This is a full-time position. Standard days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
