KPMG is currently seeking a Business Intelligence Engineer to join our Data Strategy & Operations organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain BI reporting solutions
  • Provide day to day technical administration including configuration, upgrades and release management, analyzing log files, configuration file changes, installation and configuration documents (runbook), upgrade validation testing, change control and technical issue problem resolution; translate functional and technical requirements into detail design
  • Work with business analysts to translate business needs to reporting requirements; project managers in planning and estimating throughout the life cycle; identify and evaluate alternatives and present the most efficient and cost-effective solutions; work with team leads for regular updates, participate in the development and maintenance of appropriate project technical documentation including design, configuration, and installation
  • Integrate Power BI reports into other applications using embedded analytics like Power BI service (SaaS), or by API automation; experienced in developing custom visuals for Power BI
  • Work with various scrum teams and contribute to strengthening of DevOps and Agile methodologies to improve cycle times, consistency and quality

Qualifications:

  • Minimum one year of relevant experience with BI tools (PowerBI, Tableau, Qlik), Data Engineering and implementation and administration of Power BI in Azure; proficient in the applicable technology, experience with state-of-the-art development tools and structured & object-oriented methodologies; professional training and certifications in various big data solutions is preferred
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university or equivalent work experience; Power BI certification is preferred
  • In-depth understanding of security models in Power BI and the ability to implement row level restrictions; demonstrated proficiency with relational databases and advanced SQL skills; experience with SQL Server databases and SQL scripting is a must; demonstrated proficiency with ETL scripts and tools; experience with ADF, SSIS, SSAS and T-SQL is an asset
  • Able and willing to collaborate in a team environment; Experience working in a remote environment with vendors as well as onshore and offshore teams; ability to problem solve and have an attention to detail; proven analytical thinking for translating data into informative visuals and reports
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; proven ability to quickly learn new applications, processes, and procedures
  • US Citizenship is required
