Program Advisor - Coordinator
  • Provide programmatic and process-related advice, guidance, mentorship, and support to headquarters and field-based program teams;
  • Review programmatic, financial, and administrative reports and documents for accuracy and appropriateness; provide recommended edits, advice, and guidance for improvements.
  • Serve as an expert analyst in reviewing and interpreting new and established directives, instructions and regulations to determine their impact on complex or new programs;
  • Serve as an expert analyst in the assessment and improvement of program effectiveness or the improvement of complex management processes, and systems;
  • Provide expert analysis and evaluations to management encompassing programmatic milestones, schedules, and budgetary resources planning and execution required for effective management, operations and decision making in support of a program/project or functional area;
  • Research, analyze and prepare background information on the legal, social, political and economic context in which an ICITAP program operates in order to support program managers in preparing proposals and program plans;
  • Assist the regional assistant director to define and implement goals and program performance standards;
  • Coordinate with ICITAP Headquarters, U.S. embassy representatives, and other U.S. government officials to design, develop, and implement capacity development projects.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with host country law enforcement and government officials to foster specific goals and objectives.
  • Perform financial analysis to include developing and tracking program budgets, reviewing invoices, and analyzing financial reports.
  • Maintain accurate records relating to ICITAP program activities and outputs.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university or equivalent professional qualifications and experience.

Proven experience in:

  • assessing and evaluating international development programs or projects;
  • managing the budget and procurement functions of a program/project;
  • coordinating and/or developing capacity development project proposals
  • developing and conducting briefings for various program stakeholders; and
  • writing briefing papers to support international development programs.
  • Proficient in Microsot 365 or equivalent.
