Baccalaureate or master's degree in economics, applied economics, population sociology, social sciences, or related field.

This position is responsible for:

(1) Conduct economic and demographic research related to Georgia's current and future growth, including the writing of research reports;

(2) Plan and manage all aspects of large and small economic research projects;

(3) Supervise student workers;

(4) Identify new research/contract/grant opportunities;

(5) Assist in writing grant proposals;

(6) Make written and oral presentations of research findings;

(7) Assist in strategic planning of the Selig Center's research agenda;

(8) Assist in the evaluation and hiring of research staff; and

(9) Be responsible for research quality to ensure that performance goals are met.
