Medical City of Ft. Worth is a 320 bed MAGNET facility located in the heart of Fort Worth. It serves as a tertiary referral center not only for Tarrant County, but also numerous counties within a 90 mile radius.

Position Summary:

The Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) ensures and delivers high quality, patient-centered care and coordination of all functions in the unit/department during the designated shift. In collaboration with other members of the management team, the CNC directs, monitors, and evaluates nursing care in accordance with established policies/procedures, serves as a resource person for staff, and models a commitment to the organization's vision/mission/values to support an unparalleled patient experience and clinical outcomes that contribute to overall departmental performance.

Asa surgical department specializing in bariatric and general surgeries, you can expect to provide healing to a variety of diagnoses to organize, modify, evaluate, document and maintain the plan of care for inpatients with a specialty focus onbariatric and general surgery.   1. Education:

      • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.

      • BSN required within 1 year. Magnet/PathwaysAccredited hospitals require BSN at time of hire.

      • Certification in specialty required within 1 year.

      • Completion of charge nurse course required within oneyear.

      • Other leadership training and activity in professionalorganizations highly preferred.

  2. Experience: Two (2) years of clinical practice in theclinical specialty of his/her unit and leadership/ management experience is preferred.

  3. Special Qualifications: Continuingdemonstration of clinical and leadership competency. Commitment andunderstanding of staffing matrix/productivity standard. Committed to the goals of the unit, patientsafety initiatives and positive patient experience.

  4. Knowledge / Skills / Abilities: Demonstrates good organizational skills. Provides safe and appropriate patient carewithin the standards of nursing practice. Displays judgment and superior problem solving skills. Communicates positively and professionallywith all internal and external customers.
