Apple Compliance Engineering team is looking for a candidate to do system engineering towards ensuring wireless regulatory compliance for different cellular & connectivity technologies!

Key Qualifications

  • Industry experience in development/ characterization of RF/Antenna system for wireless technologies. Experience on commercializing products for Cellular/ WLAN is required.
  • In-depth understanding of at least one Wireless technology including 5G FR1, FR2, GSM, UMTS, CDMA, LTE, 802.11a/b/g/n/ac/ax and Bluetooth.
  • Experience with regulatory/industry conformance specifications for consumer products.
  • Experience in RF layout review radiated sub-system review and system grounding.
  • Experience with one of the tools like MATLAB, HFSS, CST, ADS, etc.
  • Understanding of regulatory features like DFS, Adaptivity, Power Table, etc. is a bonus.
  • Experience with radiated test methodology, equipment, 3m Chamber, etc. is a plus.


Description

- Apply wireless system design/characterization knowledge towards addressing emission regulatory requirements in consumer products - Translate emission requirements into system requirements for chipset & platform - Architect & coordinate execution of SW features necessary for regulatory compliance - Help pre-fetch potential emission concerns using simulation tools & schematic reviews. - Collaborate with the engineering team to define emission test plan for custom features. This would include defining requirements for custom testing solutions and working with TE vendors. - Assist fellow engineers in debugging regulatory emission failures.

Education & Experience

Bachelor's Degree required.

    At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $55.82 and $84.09/hr, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
