DevSecOps Pipeline Engineer

The Challenge:

Everyone is trying to "harness the power of the cloud," but not everyone knows how. As a DevSecOps (DSO) Pipeline Engineer, you know how to develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate the deployment of containerized software in a cloud-based technical architecture that meets customer needs and takes advantage of cloud capabilitiesand services. What if you could use your DSO skills to improvewarfighterIntelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) analyst capabilities andcommunicationssystems? We need you tolead our team as we strive tomanage and maintain a reliable cloud-based platform environment for some ofthe Air Force'stoughest challenges.

As a DSO Pipeline Engineer on our team, you'll build, operate, and maintain hybrid cloud platform capabilities. You'll manage and communicate risk, using your ability to strategically think, develop plans, and orchestrate execution. You'll collaborate with your team as we research the environment and recommend tools and capabilities from various on premise, cloud based, and hybrid resources. You'll share expertise with your teammates as we help the customer overcome their most difficult challenges in the cloud. Your technical expertise will be vital as you work with the Air Force to ensure standards are met throughout the software deployment process. This is an opportunity to use the latest automation technologies, as you look for ways to continually learn and improve your own skills while improving your customer's environment using cloud capabilities and services. You'll be able to sharpen your skills in computer programming and scripting languages while developing critical systems for the Air Force. As a technical expert, you'll identify new opportunities to build cloud-based solutions to help our client meet their evolving needs. Join our team, as we transform warfighter ISR capabilities and communications systems with cloud technology. This work will be located at Hurlburt Field, FL supporting 24/7 rotational shift support in a SCIF. Seeking first, second and third shift weekdays or weekends.

You Have:

  • 3+ years of experience with DevOps tools, including Gitlab, Nexus, Artifactory, Jenkins, SonarQube, Docker, or Fortify

  • 3+ years of experience with designing, developing, deploying, and testing in Kubernetes and using tools including Kustomize, ArgoCD, and Helm

  • 2+ years of experience with infrastructure automation, including GitOps, GitLab, or Github

  • 2+ years of experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS), including VPC, EC2, IAM, S3, Lambda, or CloudWatch

  • 2+ years of experience providing technical support for system upgrades, rollouts, and enhancements

  • 2+ years of experience with DevOpspipelines, processes and tools, including Bash, Python, Go, Terraform, and Ansible

  • Experience with scripting, including PowerShell, JSON, and Python tools

  • Experience with modern security best practices for cloud infrastructure and networks

  • TS/SCI clearance

  • HS diploma or GED with 9 years of experience in engineering or Associate's degree and 7 years of experience in engineering or Bachelor's degree with 4 years of experience in engineering

Nice If You Have:

  • Experience with Agile release methodology and scrum methodology

  • Experience working in a pair programming environment

  • Experience using Management and Monitoring Tools

  • Experience with supporting operations for Web based applications

  • Knowledge of information assurance compliance to specified standards, including DoD STIGs and ICD 503

  • Ability to analyze test results and effectively communication with stakeholders, developers, and operations teams to continuously improved the health, stability, and reliability of the system

  • Ability to support and troubleshoot issues on common Operating Systems

  • Possession of effective communication skills to interact with clients and to lead, train and mentor junior system administrators and cloud engineers

  • Cloud Certifications

  • Kubernetes Certifications

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $73,100.00 to $166,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
