Location:Chesapeake, VA. Indian Creek Correctional Center houses 1,060 male inmates and operates one of the largest Therapeutic Community Treatment Programs in the nation. Schedule:Monday - Friday, 7:00 am - 4:00 pm with a 1-hour meal break. As an exempt position the candidate may be required to work greater than 40 hours per week. Pay Rate:$90,000 annually TheDirector of Clinical Servicesis responsible for:
Maintaining ongoing interaction with VA DOC officials ensuring that customer service is a priority and that services are provided according to specification of the VA DOC and the contract.
May perform the duties of a Clinical Supervisor as needed in supervising clinical personnel.
Ensuring all clinical personnel receive a minimum of 1 hour of individual and 4 hours of documented group supervision per month.
Conducting random observations and audits clinical activities throughout the programs.
Ensuring Clinical Supervisors conduct random observations of each counselor in the Therapeutic Community on a minimum of a weekly basis and these observations are recorded on GQI's and Clinical Supervision Forms.
Ensuring all scheduled groups programming and other activities occur according to the program schedule.
Conducting clinical record reviews and reviews reports from others' record reviews ensuring all documents are completed within established timeframes and demonstrating appropriate clinical quality.
Providing training to counseling and other personnel on various clinical, programmatic, documentation and other topics as directed.
Qualifications:
Master's degree in the behavioral science, licensure (LPC, LMFC, LCSW) and/or substance abuse treatment certification (CSAC/CADC) is required.
Experience supervising clinical personnel is required.
Certified to provide CSAC and/or CADC supervision is highly preferable.
Experience working in Therapeutic Community model programs is highly preferable.
Experience working within a correctional or secure environment is a plus.
Must have a basic working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
