The Program Coordinator of the Physical Sciences Office of Access, Outreach, and Inclusion (AOI) coordinates school-wide outreach and diversity programming and training efforts. Works with the Dean, Associate Dean of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, faculty, and staff to coordinate and administer programs and initiatives to advance access, outreach, inclusion, retention and recruitment efforts with the goal of increasing diversity amongst all levels of employees in the School of Physical Sciences (SoPS) and in the fields of the Physical Sciences (Chemistry, Earth System Science, Mathematics, and Physics & Astronomy). Monitors and coordinates, recommends and/or develops outreach activities, and promotes student retention. Prepares and presents annual reports, provides analysis and recommendation for policy implementation within the Schools' programs and practices to foster inclusion for students, alumni, visitors, and others. Provides input on applicable proposals for funding and evaluates the success of program activities. The Program Coordinator reports to the Assistant Dean in the School of Physical Sciences and will work closely with key faculty and staff. Uses skills as a seasoned and experienced administrative operations professional to manage, plan, and administer the operations of the Physical Sciences Office of Access, Outreach, and Inclusion. Perform short- and long-term planning for the organization. Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.

$71,300.00 - $80,000.00 (Annual Salary) Expected Pay Range within the Full Salary Range $71,300.00 - $128,700.00 (Annual Salary)
Required:
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent education and experience.
Bachelor's degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training.
Interpersonal skills including verbal and written communication, active listening, critical thinking, persuasiveness, advising and counseling skills. Ability to use discretion and maintain confidentiality. Strong skills in short-term planning, analysis, problem-solving, and customer service. Knowledge and experience in analyzing problems and identifying solutions for problem-solving; skills and experience in developing and administering programs.
Preferred:
Thorough knowledge of University rules and regulations, processes, protocols and procedures for budget, accounting and fund management, and / or personnel management. Knowledge of a variety of administrative operational activities such as event planning, basic fundraising processes, risk management planning, website design, accounting and payroll, and contracts and grants regulations and guidelines. Preferred Solid knowledge of common University-specific computer application programs. Thorough knowledge of financial analysis and reporting techniques, and / or human resources policies and procedures for staff and academic employees. Knowledge of methodologies used to enhance student achievement. Knowledge of current and theoretical models that influence the application and delivery of academic services and trends and issues facing low-income and first-generation college, underrepresented, disadvantaged, physically challenged, and under prepared students in higher education.
