Responsibilities

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITES:

    Manage computerized maintenance management systems to prioritize, manage and dispatch maintenance team; complete assigned administrative tasks on a consistent basis
  • Recognize required needs of a fast-paced environment by using good judgment and the ability to multi-task; own all requests and complaints; resolve issues immediately and follow up to ensure the guest's satisfaction; answer incoming calls and assist when necessary or direct calls to appropriate areas
  • Practice teamwork, create a positive work environment, greet fellow employees, and thank them when they lend assistance; anticipate guests' needs, respond promptly and acknowledge all guests, no matter how busy or time of day; prioritize guest requests/dispatches
  • Knowledgeable of Department and Hotel goals; knowledgeable of Hotel information to answer guest inquiries, and work under minimal supervision to complete tasks in a timely manner
  • Maintain a constant awareness of personal and property cleanliness, safety, and accident prevention
  • Perform other job-related duties as requested


Qualifications

EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION, AND CERTIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Technical school or completed apprenticeship in similar trade
  • Experience in the hospitality industry or similar environment
  • At least 6 months of administrative experience.

SKILLS:

  • Must possess trade specific skills as described in the responsibilities/duties above
  • General knowledge of mathematical skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
  • Communicate through multi-line phone system, two-way radio and/or cellular telephone
  • Able to effectively communicate in English, in both written and verbal forms
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Ability to multi-task and work well in a fast paced, team-oriented environment
  • Basic knowledge of computer software to include Outlook, MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint as well as office equipment, i.e. telephone, copier, fax machine
  • Effective listening abilities with strong judgment skills
  • Inputs call details into computer tracking system.
  • Assigns work and messages calls to Engineering employees.
  • Responds to life safety system and fire alarm panel, locates area of alarm and dispatches it to Engineering personnel to take action.
  • Records all personnel call-ins for the department.
  • Maintains dispatch log of all activities performed throughout the day including an accurate accounting of time and activities in emergency situations.
