Summer Internship 2024 - Supply Chain Intern

Timing: To start at the beginning of Summer 2024.

Location: Internship can be performed from any US company office location, in person.

Position Description:
This position is an opportunity for an internship in
SourceBlue. Must be willing to work up to 40 hours a week. The purpose of the
internship is to provide the student with supervised practice at the work site
or in the office in the continuing daily operations of supply chain management.
Interns will assist the supply chain team through assistance, coordination, and
distribution of information.

Essential Duties & Key
Responsibilities*:

  • Assist and support the supply chain integrated systems, including but not limited to Supply Chain heat mapping, vendor database, resiliency systems, and equipment tracking
  • Assist and oversee the closeout process and preparation of final records for the project, including Requests for Information (RFIs), closeout records, warranties, as-builts, and spare parts and evaluate information to insure compliance with contract documents.
  • Update and maintain master procurement data.
  • Prepare and analyze report including independent analysis of change orders.
  • Attend project and client meetings as applicable.
  • Travel to job-sites and conduct factory visits as needed.
  • Obtain and check estimates for vendor changes.
  • Perform other duties as necessary or assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Working toward a four-year degree in Engineering, Architecture, or equivalent with at least two (2) years of education and a basic knowledge of building construction experience.
  • Capable of identifying problems and recommending corrective actions.
  • Computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office suite programs.
  • Ability to demonstrate teamwork and interpersonal skills with the desire to learn.
  • Ability to communicate well verbally and in writing.

construction. The employee is regularly required to be mobile and the employee
regularly travels both short and long distances via a variety of conveyances.
The employee occasionally performs work on-site at construction work sites,
office locations, and/or off-site venues. The employee must regularly lift
and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.

construction work site where the employee is exposed to moving mechanical

may occasionally work in an office or remote setting. The noise in the work environment
is usually quiet to moderate in an office setting. The employee is required to
work in compliance with company safety policies, procedures, and applicable
laws.

The hourly rate range for this internship is estimated to be $18 - $25 per hour
