Data Analyst

The Data Analyst will work as a member of the Project Management team. The data analyst will be responsible for ad-hoc data extraction and reporting requests originating from specific project tasks. This position will be expected to interpret requests, work with project and infrastructure team to further define requirements, analyze pertinent underlying data to ensure proper use and then translate those requirements into queries that will provide the objective data sets. The data analyst will also be responsible for learning as much as possible about tech/ publishing applications and business practices in the context of how they affect the data being obtained and analyzed.

What you'll do:

• Interpret data, analyze results using statistical techniques and provide ongoing reports
• Develop and implement databases, data collection systems, data analytics and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and quality
• Acquire data from primary or secondary data sources and maintain databases/ reports
• Identify, analyze and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets
• Filter and "clean" data by reviewing multiple sources and using the infrastructure teams knowledge
• Locate and define new process improvement opportunities

What you'll bring:

• Technical expertise regarding data models, database design development, data mining and segmentation techniques
• Strong knowledge of and experience with reporting packages, databases and programming; particularly ServiceNow
• Knowledge of statistics and experience using statistical package for analyzing datasets (Excel)
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize and analyze significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
• Adept at queries, report writing and presenting findings

Ideal Experience:

• Experience analyzing or creating reports using ServiceNow
• Minimum 5 years experience in relevant IT and Data Analyst role

This role will have an annual salary of $110k-$120k
