Physician-Spine Consultant/Physiatrist, Outpatient Clinic

MaineHealth Neurosurgery & Spine is seeking a Physiatrist for their well-established outpatient multispecialty Spine Center in Scarborough. The ideal candidate will be a BC/BE Physiatrist (MD or DO) with experience in the diagnosis and management of a variety of spine conditions.

• Leading spine and neurosurgical practice in the state of Maine.
• Provide comprehensive evaluation and treatment of both spine and musculoskeletal disorders to patients in Maine and parts of Northern New Hampshire.
• Join 10 physiatrists, 12 surgeons, 3 anesthesiologists, and 3 physical therapists.
• Call is taken from home and amounts to approximately six weeks per year.

• Clinical work includes Initial consultations and ongoing management of both surgical and non-surgical spine conditions.
• High volume of referrals.
• Access to on-site EMG, X-ray, and MRI as well as two fluoroscopy suites and musculoskeletal ultrasound for interventional procedures.

• Our Rehabilitation Medicine clinic addresses the rehabilitation needs of pediatric and adult patients.
• The Spine Center includes physical medicine and rehabilitation, neurosurgery, orthopedic spine surgery, and anesthesiology specialists.
