The worldwide pioneer in the creation of interactive entertainment, Nintendo Co., Ltd., of Kyoto, Japan, manufactures and markets hardware and software for its Nintendo Switch system and the Nintendo 3DS family of portable systems. Since 1983, when it launched the Nintendo Entertainment System, Nintendo has sold more than 4.7 billion video games and more than 740 million hardware units globally, including Nintendo Switch and the Nintendo 3DS family of systems, as well as the Game Boy, Game Boy Advance, Nintendo DS family of systems, Super NES, Nintendo 64, Nintendo GameCube, Wii and Wii U systems. A wholly owned subsidiary, Nintendo Technology Development, based in Redmond, Washington, creates future hardware/software technology and researches North American-based technologies.

We are looking for a Software Engineer to help with the development and deployment of machine learning models. You will be responsible for developing data pipelines for deep learning model training and evaluation as well as building systems to perform inference using these models.

DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:

  • Design, develop and maintain a formal framework for feeding data into deep learning model training scripts.
  • Design, develop, and maintain a formal framework for performing inference with deep learning models
  • Measure and optimize model performance in various environments
  • Research, evaluate, analyze and optimize machine learning models.

SUMMARY OF REQUIREMENTS:

  • Undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Familiar with deep learning frameworks, e.g. PyTorch, TensorFlow, OnnxRuntime.
  • Proficient in C, C++.
  • Has a working knowledge of Python.
  • Has experience developing embedded software.
  • Possesses strong debugging and troubleshooting skills.
  • Knows OS concepts, e.g., memory management, inter-process communication, threading.
  • Familiar with Git workflow, open-source build systems and toolchains (ninja, LLVM, GCC, CMake, etc...)
  • Comfortable with lab equipment (e.g. jtag, oscilloscope, power meter)
  • This position requires 3-5 years of professional experience

This position is onsite in Redmond, WA, and not open to remote status at this time.
This contract position has a base pay range of $50- $80 per hour and is eligible for benefits through the employing agency. Agency benefits include eligibility for medical insurance, employee assistance program, and paid sick leave. All benefits are subject to elections, eligibility requirements, plan and program terms. Benefits offerings will be confirmed at the time of offer by the employing agency, and may differ depending on the employing agency partner.
