About the role

Reporting to the Supervisor, the CDL Driver will the safely and efficiently operation of yard truck and chassis/trailer combination and may include driving a roll-off truck to various locations, as well as on-site operations throughout the Transfer Station campus.

Responsibilities:

• Operate equipment/trucks in a safe manner following DOT regulations and company policies and regulations.
• Drive commercial vehicle to pick up and transport waste to a designated location safely primarily on campus

Qualifications:

• GED/HS Diploma preferred; Covanta offers GED Works - a fully funded program for employees to achieve their GED.
• CDL A required.
• Minimum 1 year experience with reticulated (Tractor and Trailer) vehicles.

Physical Demands:

• Walk, stand, sit, climb and be able to handle temperature changes including extreme heat
• Be able to lift/carry 50lbs
• Qualify to wear a full face respirator.

Shift Work: Rotating 1st shift/2nd shift weekly, Monday to Saturday
