The Role

Cognizant is seeking a strong leader to lead Large Deals Solutioning in North America. The Solutioning leader will lead a large deals solution team supporting our North America business. The Solutioning team designs innovative, unique & differentiated solutions across industries and service lines for deals greater than $50MM. This team is solutioning specific: a separate Pursuit team identifies the opportunity then this team creatively leverages all of Cognizant's technology solutions to win the NA deals. This is a strategic leadership role; this leader will review and sometimes deliver the proposals and will act as the Face of Cognizant in this domain and own the team's strategy, design and execution. This leader will be responsible for the growth of the CoE: pricing and closing cycles, our deal conversion rate, etc.

This team is the glue between sales and delivery: "they develop unique solutions that help us win."

Key Responsibilities



  • Responsible for Large Deals Solutioning in NA. The Solutioning leader will lead a large deals solution team supporting NA geo.
  • Will own and lead differentiated solutions for complex deals and will create and deploy repeatable solution constructs for deal pursuits.
  • The Solutioning leader mentors, measures and incentivizes the central solutioning SME pool comprising of Solution Architects and SMEs supporting NA large deals work.
  • Engage senior clients through workshops/digital dialogues/demos/PoCs to explore opportunities and better define the desired business outcomes; Support customers in imagining how solution can support and improve their business
  • Credentialize deals with customers through deep subject matter expertise and experience in the markets (industry / geo)
  • Manage a team of Solution Architects to solution customer needs that are BAU / multi-practice in nature, triages requests from markets teams for solutioning by global team v/s SL teams, and monitor the performance of the overall conversion and solutioning success by the team
  • Support sales by translating business problems into IT solutions & work with sales leads and assists sales team in qualifying prospects
  • Ensure offerings incorporated in solutions that best address customer needs and business requirements. Demonstrate business value of proposed solutions to customers.
  • Identification of Solution themes to develop optimal winnable and deliverable solutions, incorporating the best benchmarks and capabilities in the Industry and within Cognizant.
  • Identify opportunities for Cognizant in customer's enterprise information technology.
  • Ensure competency development and cross-skilling of the solutioning team.
  • Work with teams in a matrixed structure to meet deadlines without sacrificing quality.



Required Qualifications



  • Minimum 15+ years in senior leadership role.
  • Preferred background - Senior leadership role in project and product management. Deep technical expertise across competency areas, experiences managing large global teams. Domain expertise across verticals, platforms / tools and solutions.



Preferred Qualifications

Lead and manage large scale delivery, at scale capability building and execution. Good understanding of Cloud, DevOps and digital transformation practices.

Pay Transparency

The annual salary for this position is between$305,300 and $359,200 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program and stock awards, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
