Overview: Woodland Montessori School, AMS certified, provides high-quality care for children aged 18 months - 5 years old on Madison’s south side. For 50 years WMS has been a leader in early childhood education by providing competitive wages and benefits (health care, paid time off) for its staff.
WMS is launching a Capital Campaign to completely overhaul the current school building, which will allow us to stay invested and grow our partnerships in the south side of Madison. This will critically expand our impact by increasing enrollment and our on and off-site programming. We are seeking a Capital Campaign Project Coordinator to work closely with the Head of School, Capital Campaign Committee, and the Board of Directors in carrying out a broad-based fundraising plan targeting individuals, corporations, and foundations to support this initiative. This person will be the super glue for our campaign, keeping this critical project on track. Responsibilities include:
Qualifications: The successful candidate will be highly organized, self-motivated, detail-oriented, creative, strategic, and able to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines. Excellent writing, analytical, and research skills are essential. Candidates must have a high level of computer literacy, with experience using online sources to locate financial and philanthropic information a plus. Experience with Little Green Light or another CRM is valuable. Candidates should possess exceptional interpersonal skills and have an ability to work collaboratively with all levels of staff, volunteers, Board members, donors, and prospective donors.
Requirements: Authorized to work in the United States. Work environment and hours: Part-time: 15-30 hours per week. Flexible schedule. The position will include local travel and some evenings and events. Flexible work location but will require some time on site at Woodland each week.
