Operations Manager

The role:

The Operations Manager manages all departments in our warehouse in West Chester, OH, shift leaders and hourly employees, Allocating tasks and resources as needed to run the operations efficiently and effectively on a day to day basis. The Operations Manager will also lead cross-functional projects and drive projects to completion. This is a one shift operation 6:00am - 2:30pm.

What you will do:



  • Manages all departments in our central warehouse in West Chester, OH, ensuring efficient and effective utilization of warehouse personnel in order to be cost-effective and highly productive.
  • Creates and implements process improvements with focus on excellent service toward customers and consumers.
  • Creates KPIs as needed in all departments of the operations and motivates personnel to achieve them.
  • Maintains safety culture and evaluates the operations.
  • Evaluates operations, anticipates changes within the industry and makes suggestions to management for review and implementation.
  • Supervision of all warehouse personnel, monitors and enforces company and safety policies in a fair and consistent manner. Holds warehouse personnel and shift leaders accountable for performance and behavior.
  • Manages disciplinary action with support from management and HCD when needed. Reviews and approves payroll of hourly employees with support from management.
  • Goal Setting, Performance reviews, hiring/termination and employee development.
  • Supports management with internal/external audits, certification compliance and training of employees in the areas of safety, environmental and good manufacturing practices (GMP).
  • Manages continuous improvement projects and implementation with the support from shift leaders and DCM.
  • Manages cost, including overtime and supplies purchasing.


What you will need:



  • Bachelor degree in either Business Administration, Project Management or Operations Management required.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in warehousing or distribution management.
  • Minimum 5 years in Personnel Administration.
  • Minimum 5 years in Project Management.
  • Must have a strong understanding of all physical elements of the supply chain, including Transportation, Warehousing and Distribution.
  • Strong leadership skills with ability to work professionally and effectively with a wide range of groups in a diverse community.
  • Must have a strong understanding of all physical elements of the supply chain, including Transportation, Warehousing and Distribution.
  • Must have strong understanding of SAP and/or other warehouse systems. Highly skilled in Microsoft products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • Ability to provide guidance/direction, develop and implement innovative solutions and establish positive working partnerships when working with others, internally and with external entities.



A reasonable pay range is $80,000 - $105,000
