Solutions Architect

The Opportunity:
As a Solutions Architect, you can resolve a problem with a complete end-to-end solution in a fast, agile environment. If you're looking for the chance to not just develop software, but to create a system that will make a difference, we need you on our team. We're looking for an experienced architect like you with the skills needed to develop software and systems from vision to production ready. You will use your passion to master new tools and techniques and identify needed system improvements. You'll help clients overcome their most difficult challenges using the latest architectural approaches, tools, and technologies. You'll make sure the solution developed by the team considers the architecture and operating environment, as well as future functionality and enhancements.

You will perform regular implementation, problem solving, maintenance, and support for agile software development to modernize systems. You'll apply advanced consulting skills, extensive technical expertise, and full industry knowledge. You will develop innovative solutions to complex problems. You'll work without considerable direction and mentor and supervise team members.

You Have:

  • Experience with architecting overall systems using prototyping or proof of concepts
  • Experience in designing and developing scalable, distributed systems using microservices
  • Experience with Java development
  • Experience in developing REST APIs, including Spring or Spring Boot
  • Experience in containerization technologies, including Docker or Kubernetes
  • Experience with cloud platforms, including Amazon Web Services (AWS)
  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, including Jenkins
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and clearly communicate and work with stakeholders at multiple levels
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination based on client requirements
  • Bachelor's degree

Nice If You Have:

  • Experience in healthcare scheduling domain
  • Experience with HL7 FHIR
  • Experience with test automation, including JUnit or Selenium
  • Experience with application monitoring and alerting
  • Experience with introducing new technologies into legacy environments
  • Experience with developing project plans and integration roadmaps
  • Experience with defining and enforcing coding standards and best practices
  • Experience in collaborating with stakeholders and developers to gather and refine requirements
  • Experience working with federal agencies, including Veteran Affairs
  • Possession of excellent interpersonal skills

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $96,700.00 to $220,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees. This posting will close within 90 days from the Posting Date.
