What you will be doing:

  • Take the helm in driving automation initiatives, defining a strategic roadmap for elevated testing practices.
  • Establish and enforce a culture of automation excellence, setting high standards for efficiency, reliability, and scalability.
  • Serve as the ultimate authority on automation strategies, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
  • Architect, design, and maintain state-of-the-art test automation frameworks that set industry benchmarks.
  • Innovate and implement solutions to maximize automation efficiency, coverage, and adaptability.
  • Collaborate closely with development teams to seamlessly integrate automated tests into our CI/CD pipeline.
  • Lead and inspire a team of highly skilled individual contributors, nurturing a culture of technical brilliance.
  • Conduct regular performance assessments, provide mentorship, and guide professional development.
  • Foster an environment where team members are empowered to contribute ideas and innovations.
  • Provide decisive technical leadership, ensuring that the team stays at the forefront of automation technologies.
  • Guide team members in honing their programming skills, fostering continuous learning and growth.
  • Collaborate with other technical leaders to align automation strategies with broader technology objectives.
  • Act as a linchpin in cross-functional collaboration, ensuring testing efforts align seamlessly with development processes.
  • Collaborate with QE, development, and product teams to raise the bar for overall software quality.
  • Participate actively in Agile ceremonies, bringing a strategic testing perspective to sprint planning and backlog refinement.
  • Lead a culture of continuous improvement, identifying and implementing enhancements to automation processes.
  • Stay ahead of industry trends, evaluating and incorporating emerging technologies into our testing practices.
  • Foster an environment that encourages innovation and experimentation within the automation team.

What we hope you will bring to this role:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience is requred.
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in software quality assurance, with a strong focus on test automation is required.
  • Proven track record of designing and maintaining robust and scalable test automation frameworks.
  • Advanced programming skills, with proficiency in languages such as Java, Python, or similar.
  • Demonstrated success in managing and leading high-performing automation engineering teams.
  • Decisive decision-making skills, especially regarding automation strategies, tools, and processes.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Passion for mentorship and a commitment to developing team members pursuing a technical track in their careers.
