Information Assurance Specialist

Key Role:

Establish and satisfy complex system-wide information security requirements based upon the analysis of user, regulatory, and resource demands. Plan, analyze, develop, implement, maintain, and enhance the programs and tools necessary to provide information assurance(IA)in both unclassified and classified environments, and ensure the operational availability of all systems. Work with system owners and system stewards to gather and document information to assist with the creation of ATO packages and managing the system of record in the eMASS process. Review and help write control implementation statements.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experiencewith security guidance and IS validation utilizing the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) RMF, DoD, and local security policies

  • Experience with the DoDI 8510.0 ATO process

  • Ability to support the development or modification of System Security Plans (SSPs), and security requirements for the Assessment and Authorization process

  • Secret clearance

  • HS diploma or GED

Additional Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience with creating, managing, and maintaining ATO packages, implementation narratives and associated artifacts, POAMs, SOPs, and FISMA security documents

  • Experience with Windows servers 2019, VMware, Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS), and Linux in an enterprise environment

  • CompTIA Security+ Certification

Clearance:

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirementsfor access to classified information; Secret clearance is required.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $60,400.00 to $137,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees. This posting will close within 90 days from the Posting Date.
