Overview

Verathonis looking for a Product Planner III to become the newest member of our Marketing team located in Bothell, WA.

The Product Planner III is responsible for assisting with new global product development initiatives the Visualization Business Unit (VBU).

The Product Planner III will be responsible for product planning and development, market assessments, business modeling, and pricing strategies. This person will have the opportunity to work with customers, engineers, finance, marketing management, clinical marketing, sales, and the executive team to understand the market, identify latent needs, define product requirements, optimize the portfolio, and execute Verathon's strategic direction.



Responsibilities

Principal Responsibilities:

    Develop strong understanding of global customer environments through voice-of-the-customer analyses and Key Opinion Leader (KOL) relationships.

  • Lead market research where needed.

  • Assist with defining new product opportunities, translating understanding into market and user needs,

  • Ensure solutions address most important requirements to drive marketplace differentiation.

  • Create robust business cases for each potential project in conjunction with commercial and geography leaders and finance based on specific sales targeting plans.

  • Ensure seamless integration with cross-functional teams to set schedule, scope, and costs with strong business case at each Product Development Process stage gate review.

  • Work in conjunction with R&D teams to ensure compliance with FDA and global regulatory requirements.

  • In collaboration with Human Factors Engineering, conduct formative usability testing for assigned products throughout concept and development.

  • Collaborate with R&D team to implement needed product changes.

  • Work with cross-functional teams to ensure all elements of the product, including the product structure, packaging, labeling, service, and warranty support user and stakeholder needs.

  • Initiate product launch marketing plans including the formulation of marketing objectives, strategies, tactics, and measures to meet and surpass business launch targets.

  • Recommend global pricing for assigned products.

  • Monitor trends, competitive activity, and industry developments and update product line roadmap accordingly.

  • Create revenue and unit new product forecast.

  • Track key business metrics on assigned programs for initial post launch period. Recommend mitigations if needed.



Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in relevant field; MBA preferred.

  • Typically requires a minimum of 5 years of product planning, product management, or relevant experience.

  • Demonstrated experience in product development, pricing strategy, and competitive positioning.

  • Experience contributing to the development and execution of visions and strategies, specifically around product life cycles.

  • Proven organizational, planning and project/product management skills.

  • Demonstrated problem solving and decision-making skills.

  • Strong experience in a regulated industry, preferably Medical Devices

  • Knowledge of clinical applications and hospital economics across global geographies

  • Strong analytics and familiarization with business models and forecasts

  • Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills.

  • Domestic and international travel required 20-25% of the time.

Salary range - $123,870 - 157,737 (Compensation will vary based on skills, experience and location. If this position is filled outside the Seattle WA metro area, this salary range will vary depending on the specific hiring location.)

Full-time non-sales employees are eligible for Verathon's annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance.
