Job Summary |
Auburn University Libraries is seeking applicants for the position of Student Assistant to assist faculty and staff with daily, routine library operations (Summer 2024).

Essential Functions |
- Scanning title page, title page verso, table of contents and covers for print materials and sending the PDF to the cataloger
- Scanning containers and disc surfaces for non-print materials
- Viewing DVDs and filling out a worksheet for video credits
- Creating item records, and attaching barcodes and sending materials to Physical Processing
- Sending barcodes to cataloger for reclass books
- Assisting with authority work
- Transcribing Discover Auburn Lecture videos
- Copying ad formatting tables of contents for e-books

Minimum Qualifications |
- Currently enrolled student at Auburn University
- Job frequently requires standing, walking, reaching, balancing, hearing, handling objects with hands, and occasionally lifting up to 50 pounds.

Starting at $7.50/hour |
Work Hours |
Work hours are between 7:45am-4:00pm; Student will work up to 10 hours per week depending on availability and departmental needs. |
