Job Description

ThisSenior Employee Relations Managerrole is an exciting opportunity to serve as a trusted advisor to resolve challenging people issues, drive change and engagement. In this role the successful candidate will lead Employee Relations for specific client groups and lead various programs and initiatives.

The successful candidate thrives in a fast -paced environment demonstrating strong influencing/consultation skills and excellence in execution of cross functional initiatives. Must be a strategic critical thinker who has core experience managing investigations, coaching and advising on complex matters with exceptional communication, analytical and collaboration skills.

What You'll Do

  • Partner with managers/employees to facilitate positive interactions and effective outcomes for matters including performance coaching, performance improvement plans, written warnings, disciplinary actions and communications.

  • Provide guidance and advice on sensitive complex scenarios (i.e. negotiated departures, potentially significant matters where there are people and business risk).

  • Assume responsibility for all phases of the investigation lifecycle for cases related to workplace conduct, culture and conflict, including intake, background research, witness/subject interviews, writing summary report, presentation of findings to stakeholders for resolution of substantiated matters, and debrief meetings with leadership.

  • Partner with key stakeholders (People Business Partners, Business Conduct Office, Legal and business leadership) to facilitate appropriate outcomes and to mitigate risk and develop of remediation plans for behavioral, cultural/work environment issues.

  • Utilize the designated online case management tool for tracking, applying rigorous notes and actions.

  • Execute various global Employee Relations programs and initiatives.

  • Analyze employee relations trends to help develop proactive strategies solutions, programs and policies.

  • Create executive briefings, case summaries, proposals, and materials including content across the team to support programs (manager trainings), processes (flow charts), and executive summaries (PowerPoint).

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • 8 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or at least 5 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 2 years of work experience with a PhD

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 9 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or at least 5 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 2 years of work experience with a PhD
  • Preferred experience working in Payments, Technology, multinational/global large- scale brand company.

  • Demonstrated ability to influence outcomes and drive resolution strategies at all levels in the organization that balance the business and internal risk.

  • Knowledge of federal, state and local laws, statues, which govern employment policies and practices with a thorough understanding and demonstrated application of internal and external HR principles, concepts practices and standards.

  • Experience successfully implementing programs across geographically distributed organizations.

  • Proactive, highly responsive, sensitive concerns with an ability to empathize while maintaining professional objectivity.

  • Demonstrated collaboration in a close team environment, diplomatic, and flexible in adapting to occasional changes in case priorities.

  • Experience conducting corporate internal investigationsincluding intake, investigation, resolution and summary reports as well as strong written, verbal and listening skills across all levels of the organization.

  • Proven ability to make judgment calls/problem solving skills and sound, ethical decisions displaying a heightened level of responsibility, confidentiality, integrity and professionalism.

  • Capability to work with limited direction, usually within a complex and often ambiguous environment, to drive linear, fact-based insights, recommendations, and solutions.

  • Problem solver who thinks outside of the box to drive new approaches.

  • Excellent PowerPoint skills (story telling) and Excel (including formulas).

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Additional Information

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 113,100.00 to 147,100.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
