Job Summary
The Radio Frequency Identification Lab ( RFID) seeks a motivated and skilled Student Software Developer to join our lab. This position is ideal for both undergraduate and graduate students who are passionate and proficient in software development and are looking to apply their skills in a dynamic research environment. The role involves developing and maintaining web-based applications that support our lab's research activities.

**Position is not eligible for Summer 2024 assistantship, but may be for future semesters.
Essential Functions
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain applications for data management, visualization, and research collaboration.
- Work closely with researchers to understand their software requirements and provide technical solutions.
- Participate in the design, testing, and deployment of new software features.
- Assist in the integration of computational tools and databases.
- Document and maintain software functionality.
- Ensure the robustness and reliability of web applications.
Minimum Qualifications
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong programming skills with experience in application development ( HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Python or Java).
- Experience working with databases ( SQL, NoSQL)
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills and a willingness to engage with non-technical team members.
- Knowledge of data visualization tools and libraries is a plus.
- Familiarity with version control systems, such as Git is a plus.

Pay Rate $15.00 - $20.00/hour
