Under the direction of the Associate Manager, the Operations Management Trainee is responsible for leading Area operators across the department Using the (RP-S) Reckitt Production System. This position validates the appropriate execution of safety, quality, service, cost, and people priorities within their department. While ensuring these priorities are maintained they are also responsible for optimizing current processes to improve SQSCP and meeting weekly key performance measurements. The OMT will receive both technical and leadership training. The ideal candidate will be able to assess, measure, and improve workplace food safety, cGMPs, GDPs quality and efficiency results. The Zeeland Supply Center is a 24/7 operation. In this role the OMT will be required to cover planned supervisor PTO and adjust their schedule accordingly. Your responsibilities
-Supervise and oversee planned vacations for leaders within the processing & packaging departments. -Champion of safety and quality, developing a proactive culture of opportunities and improvements. -Improves the function of daily operating systems to ensure the completion of all standard department activities including, but not limited to: safety & quality audits, cleaning requirements, micro swabs, preventative maintenance activities, record completion, inventory management, and process confirmations of documented operating procedures. -Leads CI actions focused on 5S, visual standards, centerlines, operator asset care, and change management. -Develops a culture of spotting and quickly eliminating the 8-forms of waste. -Sustains and improves the execution of all documentation requirements within the department. Raises and corrects any gaps from standard to ensure appropriate compliance. -Demonstrates teamwork and leadership through verifying hourly targets are met at the shop floor, including Safety, Quality and Service metrics -Ability to problem solve safety, quality, service opportunities through root cause problem solving (RCPS) and quickly escalating when support is needed to meet hourly goals. -Clearly understand the regulatory environment and Reckitt policies for the operation and ensured production systems,documentation and processes are in compliance at all times. The experience we're looking for
-Minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment with some leadership experience a must and/or four year degree, preferably in a business or technical field. -Experience working within an FDA regulated environment preferred. -Basic computer skills required (i.e. Windows, SAP, WINS). -Previous experience with computerized inventory systems a plus. -Experience leading a production team in a complex, changing environment to deliver results to the organization. -Experience working on a cross functional team within a broader organization preferred.
