The MIL Corporationis seeking aJunior Project Analyst (Project Analysis, Junior Analyst)to support a Federal Government client at our Lexington Park, MD location.

This position currently requires a hybrid schedule, with 3 days on-site. Schedule is subject to change based on company/contract requirements.

Responsibilities

As a junior level analyst, this role will assist senior analysts and project/program managers (PMs) in the following areas:



  • Assist ETS/Cyber PMs with budgeting, funding execution, document management, and financial analyses of contracts, subcontracts, task orders and TDL's.
  • Monitor and update the ETS/Cyber contract invoice calendar.
  • Complete cost estimates and cost to complete.
  • Assist in creating and updating spend plans, bi-weekly financial matrices, and financial reports.
  • Coordinate daily with contract monitors and project/program managers.
  • Ensure sub invoices are received and processed in a timely manner.
  • Monitor project and program budgets and report expenditure levels approaching 75%.
  • Ensure projects do not exceed the funded amount.
  • Track material and travel commitments and COR approvals.
  • Prepare financial documentation and slides as well as attend project/program kick-off and financial meetings.
  • Track all incoming purchase requests and monitor progress throughout the purchase process.
  • Submit an itemized list of material to various vendors for pricing.
  • Initiate purchase requisitions based on vendor quote and project management approval.
  • Review reports of time usage and charge lines to report to the Sector VP.
  • Assist with recruiting tracking and reporting meetings.
  • Help track PTFs for PM's and VP's from start to finish.
  • Work with the procurement department to modify purchase requisitions as needed.
  • Update master equipment list and create procurement ID's.
  • Reconcile AMEX invoice with receipts monthly.
  • Assist lead project analyst and administrative staff with other duties, as assigned.

Required Qualifications



  • 2+ years of relevant analytical experience supporting DoD customers
  • Experience with government material management system
  • Effective written and oral communication skills
  • Attentiveness to detail with excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office with MS Excel and Word skills


Desired Qualifications



  • Project analysis experience supporting the US Navy
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Experience with Deltek and Costpoint
  • Open to new challenges and working in a diverse environment


Education

Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field from an accredited college. Six (6) years of additional work experience or an associate degree plus four (4) years of additional work experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.

Salary at MIL is determined based on factors such as qualifications, experience, and contractual limitations. For this position, the projected compensation range is $69,000 - $85,000 per year.
