Join us as a Bioanalyts, where you'll put your love of science to work in the Scientific Insourcing Services department. You'll receive all the training you need to successfully take on your new role and grow an exciting laboratory sciences career at Pace.

This candidate will be responsible for performing bioassays and application development to support biopharmaceutical filtration devices. These analyses include ELISAs, PCR, DNA and more that support cell culture production. In addition the candidate will be supporting the development of new applications of current filtration products.



RESPONSIBILITIES

What you'll do

    General laboratory activities and instrumentation including: pipetting, preparation of solutions/samples/media, and operation of pH meters, autoclaves and analytical balances
  • Support all stages of the mammalian cell culture process including maintenance, transfection, etc. at flask and bioreactor levels
  • Complete a variety of bioassays including ELISAs, qPCR/ddPCR, Host Cell Protein quantification, DNA quantification, mAb purification/quantification etc.
  • Assist with the validation of bioassay test methods
  • Work with microbial and bacteriophage samples and challenges
  • Characterize filtration media following documented SOPs and established test methods such as filter binding capacity, total organic carbon (TOC), total nitrogen (TN), charge capacity and microbial retention
  • Assist with the development of new applications for existing products using all previously described tests
  • General laboratory upkeep and supplies maintenance


QUALIFICATIONS

What you'll bring

  • B.S. in molecular biology, biochemistry, biology, chemistry or related science
  • Good deductive reasoning and analytical approach to problem solving
  • Able to handle multiple projects concurrently, self-motivated, and results driven
  • Able to communicate effectively
