Job Title: AWS Pyspark Lead

Onsite position at Plano, TX

Job summary

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in SparkSQL Spark Spark in Scala Java and AWS with additional skills in Python Kubernetes Apache Hudi Risk Management and Apache Iceberg being highly advantageous.

Projects within the Cards & Payments domain.

This role requires a minimum of 6 years and a maximum of 9 years of experience with a keen ability to drive projects to successful completion.

Roles & Responsibilities

- Oversee the design and implementation of scalable high-performance solutions using SparkSQL and Spark in Scala.

- Lead the integration of Java and AWS technologies to enhance project outcomes.

- Utilize Python and Kubernetes to optimize system performance and reliability.

- Implement Apache Hudi and Apache Iceberg for efficient data management and storage solutions.

- Apply risk management principles to safeguard project integrity and data security.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project alignment with business objectives.

- Drive innovation within the Cards & Payments domain through strategic use of technology.

- Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices in software development.

- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members.

- Conduct thorough code reviews and quality assurance checks.

- Stay abreast of emerging technologies and trends in the Cards & Payments sector.

-Qualifications

- Proven experience with SparkSQL Spark Spark in Scala Java and AWS is mandatory.

- Familiarity with Python Kubernetes Apache Hudi and Apache Iceberg is highly desirable.

- Strong understanding of the Cards & Payments domain is required.

- Excellent problem-solving analytical and communication skills.

- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced dynamic environment.

- Commitment to continuous learning and improvement.

Salary and Other Compensation:

The annual salary for this position is depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
