Responsibilities

  • Complete physician orders by retrieving orders and completing the necessary steps associated with processing to ensure quality patient outcomes
  • Assist with inventory control of pharmaceuticals and supplies by replenishing supplies, documenting items to be ordered, and rotating stock to maintain appropriate stock levels in the pharmacy
  • Maintain appropriate stock levels of approved pharmaceuticals and supplies in patient care areas by monitoring stock on hand to ensure effective administration of medication
  • Assume leadership responsibilities as assigned by management to facilitate operational efficiencies
  • Assist in the maintenance of orderliness and cleanliness of the department

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Texas Registration through the Texas State Board of Pharmacy as a Registered Pharmacy Technician or Pharmacist Intern
  • Ability to calculate and compound medication orders

Preferred Job Requirements:

  • Intravenous Admixture Certification Course through an approved ACPE provider
  • Knowledge of medical terminology desired
  • Previous pharmacy experience desired
